March Photo Challenge #3

Hey guys,

Welcome to day number 3 of the photo challenge. I have to apologise that day number 1 and 2 didn't post on the days they were supposed to. For some unbeknown reason when I schedule a post it just doesn't work?

Anyway day number 3 is ' your favourite song '

This was really hard as I don't have a favourite song!

So I decided to go with the song that always makes me want to get up and dance!

Whitney Houston : I wanna dance with somebody

See you tomorrow (hopefully)

Let me know your favourite song.

March Photo Challenge #1

Hey Guys,

"Pinch and a punch for the first of the month"

Today's post is a bit of a different one for me. March is my favourite month of the whole year it's the month when my money evens its self back out after Christmas, it's the start of spring time, st Patrick's day and most importantly my birthday :-)
So I wanted to do something to do something a bit different. Now I'm sure you've all seen the photo a day challenges that float about on Instagram, well I've decided to do one but on my blog instead. This is as well as my regular posts.

So to start off day number one is 'a drink'

This is a picture of a cup of tea that I had with my,extremely naughty but very delicious, macdonalds breakfast! (It was so worth it)

See you tomorrow!

My Ombre Hair Fail

Hey Guys,

So a while back in a n.o.t.d post I hinted at the fact that I may have dyed my hair red. I thought that I could tell you about this briefly but in all fairness it’s a long story.
So for about a year now I have been lusting after ombre hair, deluding myself that I would look like a beach goddess with beautiful wavy hair and everyone would be whispering ooohs and aaahs as I walked past. This was not the case!

Before I dyed my hair au natural!

So in about November time I saw an advert on the tele for the L’Oreal dip dye kit that claimed to be the easiest and best way to ombre your hair at home even coming with a fancy little brush that promised to make it all the more easy. So off i trotted to my local boots full of confidence. This soon changed. I got the kit home and decided to try it there and then.  I decided to try it just on the underneath of my hair in case I hated it, best decision ever. I eventually managed to get a decent covering of the bleach no thanks to that daft little brush.  The box recommends leaving the bleach on at least 40 minutes if you had dark hair, which I did. After about 10 minutes I had a really bad headache off the bleach, I am not exaggerating when I say it was the strongest smelling stuff in the world. I decided to leave it on an extra 10 minutes to ensure I got the really light look I had in mind. I washed it off only to discover that my hair was now an awful orangey yellow colour that was awful. There and then I decided no way was I doing the top layers of my hair. Luckily I was meeting my friends in Durham for lunch so I hid my hair in a ponytail and walked straight in to Sally’s and picked up a crazy colour in the colour fire red. This was the colour I had been using previously to have red hair.  Now I love my red hair so I felt instantly better once it was back to red. However because I had bleached the ends the colour really stuck to the ends which left a really nice effect of ombre red that I really like.
Not the best photo but you can see the colour quite clearly.

Now as I write this I have currently let the red wash out as at the end of the month I want to go a nice chocolate brown colour. Then work on getting a few highlights through ready for the summer! My hairdresser is going to love me!
Let me know if any of you have tried the L'oreal kit and if it worked for you.

Happy Valentines Day

Hey Guys,

Image: weheartit

Now this post in going to be a little bit different from all the other blog posts recently that have been about valentines day. For one i'm not promoting this pretty ridiculous day because I believe its all a big con. Yes i'm aware i'm in a relationship and yes we have celebrated valentines day in the past but as you get older you realised that its all a bit naff, the cards get took down and the flowers die. I just think that if your one half of a couple that you should appreciate them and be appreciated every day rather than just the 14th of February.
Now if you celebrate valentines day then thats great and you probably won't be reading this because you'll be out getting wined and dined up to the eyes in diamonds.
But i thought i would share with you my plans for this evening. Stuarts is at work untill 10 so i won't be seeing him at all.
So I intend on taking a nice relaxing bath with lots of bubbles putting on a face mask maybe having a cheeky glass of wine.
Then watching a couple of DVDs and devouring a box of After Eights.

So there you have it my plans for the BIG day. Let me know what your plans are wether your celebrating Valentines day or not!

Soap And Glory Peaches And Clean: Review

Hey Guys,
So I’m back today with another Soap and Glory product review. Today it’s the Peaches and Clean 4 in 1 cleansing milk.  Again this was another product that was part of the big Christmas set. Now to tell you the truth I’ve only recently started using cleansers properly. Hands up I was much more of a make-up wipe before bed kind of girl. However I have started trying to look after my skin more as the crappy weather has really taken its toll.

Soap and Glory says; “It purifies! Can energize! And melts away make-up”

I personally think that this product is really good at taking your makeup off. It’s a really lovely consistency that’s not too thick. And the smell = yummy! It does smell of peaches but it’s a funny smell that reminds me of something that I just can’t put my finger on and every time I use it, it annoys me that I don’t know the smell.

The only thing that narks me a little with this is that my face doesn’t really feel clean and it’s not amazing at removing eye makeup. I feel like Id use this product to take my makeup off and then use my philosophy cleanser to clean my face. I don’t really know if that’s really good for my skin though, using two cleansers? But for now that’s what I’ll carry on doing.

So all in all I would purchase this product again and recommend it to anyone wanting a makeup remover. If any of you guys have this and know what this smell might remind me of can you let me know ha!

What are your favourite cleansers or makeup removers?
